Ten Steps to Safer Surfing

1. Install anti-spyware software on your computer. This simple step allows you to monitor activities on your computer, to ensure that your private information stays private.
2. Be leery of downloads. Programs that use spyware are growing increasingly sneaky with their installation techniques. Make sure you read and understand all of the “fine print” before you download.
3. Exercise caution and common sense. Yes, we know it sounds obvious, but make certain a site is legitimate, especially before entering sensitive personal information. (Does the site give you off-line contact information? Is there a privacy policy?) Always make sure that your connection is secure, or encrypted, before entering private details.
4. Don’t reveal private information easily or unintentionally. Remember that you are in control of your information; think twice about giving out personal information on website registration pages. Also, you may be inadvertently exposing personal details, including e-mail addresses and other contact information, if you don’t properly configure your Web browser. In your browser’s “Setup”, “Options” or “Preferences” menus, you can use a pseudonym instead of your real name, and choose to leave out your e-mail address.
5. Don’t open emails and attachments from unknown users. Sound familiar? You may have heard that one before, but it makes the list because, even after all the warnings, it’s still difficult for us to internalize that different dangers lurk online than in pen and paper. Don’t open attachments unless you know they are coming from friends or family.
6. Keep a side e-mail account. Use a free e-mail service as a separate account from the personal one you normally use. If you are posting to newsgroups, writing in chat rooms, have a webpage with contact information, or are required to enter an email address to use a certain site, use the side address, so your personal account stays “clean.” If you do get spammed, don’t reply to the mail, even if it’s to follow the instructions on how to remove yourself from the mailing list. This only confirms that your email address is in fact active.
7. Clean out your search history regularly. Most browsers record the address of every website you visit. Deleting your search history, if you’re using Internet Explorer, is as easy as changing the “Internet Options” setting in the “Tools” menu.
8. Clean out your cache. Browsers keep track of the websites you visit in a temporary cache file. You can also clean out the cache in the “Internet Options” setting in the “Tools” menu.
9. Clean out your cookies. By now you may be tired of all of this online “cleaning,” but this is another easy way (again, you can use the “Internet Options” setting in the “Tools” menu) to make sure you’re not revealing your surfing habits. Some browsers allow you to have control over cookies; you may be able to see a notice (and decide whether or not you want to install it) when a site tries to write a cookie file to your hard drive. You can also look into cookie management software and services.
10. Educate all users on your computer about online privacy, including your children. Spyware creators are expert at finding ways to infiltrate your system. It’s important to set clear guidelines and rules about computer use with your kids.

Today evening i was happened to get wet due to sudden heavy rainfall and fourtunatly I palisaded my head by form of protective clothing known as HELMET.

Ya happy returned home without getting wet much my head.., but got my dress and my bag being besprinkled. I kept my mobile inside my bag and dint notice abt that later. So moisture affected my mobile, my mobile got cold and not able to coldstart it again. unusual behaviours are noticed, so sad and arguing with my dad to get one new soon..

Recently my 3 exams were postponed due to flood over chennai and some place. My UG classmate recently i mean (yesterday), she got married and in there, i met all my classmates n enjoyed staying there.

My cute rab Ginny growed well and enjoying his stay with me. Recently i went to Sivas home, its near Kerala state boarder, went roaming over his lands which is surrounded fully with Coconut and banana tree. There I met two lil cute puppies resembling like BullDogs, played with and Enjoyed by seeing "TOUCH_ME_NOT" plants and wondered seeing Violet & orange colored Dragon fly's. There in his land, a small river flows and in that a live crab tingled our playing mood, played with him and had upto 4 cocunuts (Yalaneir) and returned home safe.

Today i completed my SEM Praticals, which is on UNIX Kernal programming. I felt very happy and I finished in few mins, but felt very hungry, so for resolving that problem i went to nearest store bought one NEW MEGA Munch and 5Star.

My Rab is behaving well with me, whenever I whistle He(Rab) acknowledges by shaking his head and even repeatedly, that makes me happy and then I will do Whizzing him. I recently got the chance to purchase USB FLASH drive made by UMAX, famous for Scanner things and even in Flash drives too. My friend MAMU literally termed RamaDurai, has Same version of my USB with 256MB memory and I got ONE GIGABYTE of memory thats enough for my needs(Until i get another new one).

Previously I had Integral FlashDrive 64MB bought for me by my DAD from Sweden as my Bday gift and got one KOOLEST FlashDrive CREATIVE MP3/USB with 256MB as Bday gift again from Him. Now im with 1GB and hope for getting 10GB APPLE IPOD from my Bro Suresh Kumar as a gift for me from Paris. (Suresh is that right?)

Today afternoon, i heard small puppies growling at something in my Garden, so i went there to see whats happening there and i saw Two cute pups with their dad and mom dog, all of them are smirking at a CAT in my garden. After a little bit of struggle for 30 mins with this blog, i couldnt even enter with my own authentication process. I simply dint no wat had happened. Anyway now im in & happy i can blog it now. Yesterday i did saw "The Ring" Quoted as TOP 20s Scariest movie and i saw that movie earlier itself but yester i saw from Climax to end. That was nice movie but nothing can be compared to 'Chinese connection' movie for its scary thing. Its simply awesome which has special effects in its BG sounds and motion camera. I like to see that movie specially for the scene that had BLACK CATS all over the room, making scarying worst.

Today as usual i woke up at 8 and dint make up morning activites till 11 and felt very sluggish for a quick ride, i drove to near by grocessary shop and bought cabbage leaves for my cute rab. Hes already waiting for it and he received me warm by standing in his hind legs and as i given him, he quickly pulls inside his house starts munching soundly and whizzing with him, i headed straight back to my PC pal and started making out. Sree yesterday showed me new interface, we were discussing abt that until mid night 12, that was very nice.

My friends murali and sathish went to college for getting signatory in Records which i already got by previous day. Now I and Thiyagu were waiting for them to start talking. adage of an Accident

Day before CA exam, i went to Siva Kumar home just to visit his place and roam around the place, while we r moving thr' Madukarai. We happened to SEE a live accident. We were travelling in TVS 50 while passing the road, a lorry cleaner came in middle of road talking to someone other side without seeing the approaching vehicle. A scooterate came by in(very fast), inorder to avoid collision with that person, he took a sharp cut and applied full brake but in vain, he went straight to approaching vehicle (Splendor) just back of us nearly 2to3 feet distance and dashed with him like a thunder. The scooterate went unconscious laid on road as if he was dead, that made us shock. Then in back of us a lady heavily hit on road, blood on her forehead poured like water and she screamed. I cant move from there for a minute and i dint turn up there bcos it might cause me a mental injury to me and after 5 min, we left of that place and had nice time at Siva Kumar home and his lands.

I took two Cocunuts live dropped from tree, Milk peda and more..
And left his home at 6 and safely reached my home and i still cant forget that tragedy.

Its nothing but GOOGLE homepage. It Certainly needs some improvement. It has got some unneeded HTML codes on it. By reducing the codes, it can be loaded even faster.

hey yesterday Saturday (04Dec2004), i saw Ven Helsing wat a kool movie with vampires and wolfwares too. Fighting scences are superb and nice Animations too. hey yesterday i was upto 1 am. Today i woke up at 10.30 am and now i got see PROJECT A movie by Jakie Chan. I like most of jackies film and this movie is simply superb. The story of the movie is Jakie is to seize the Sea Pirates. Very nice tamil dubbing movie super comedy. The climax of the movie is simply superb.

Hey this weekend i had little upset bcos my mom not feeling and i got vexed for no reason... So i went to Sathish home and returned back to home at 10 pm. My friends came congragulating me and today i was happy and again i got monthly exams from Monday so i have to study for it(hehe!! its just a joke..). Hey im watching Sword Fish movie in HBO cool one. In that film a fighting scene is super. SWAT team came rescue hostages but they dint notice that hostage wearing a Bomb and they rescue him and get exploded... in that explosion SLOW MOTION CAMERA rolled in 360 degree and swat members are flying in air and still rocks, car flying in air.. Cool one..

hey i already prepared to post a blog damned suddenly IEINTEGRATOR.DLL error came along closing my browser, so i simply lost everything i wrote on blog.

This is to tell abt how i spent my weekand. Yesterday i came home at 6 pm from coll.I came from coll by college bus. after i came then i went out for small walk and came around 7pm. Then i switched on comp then i checked mail then went to chat with my dad. Then at 11 pm i made a call to my friend Sree ram and others too. then i slept hearing my favourite song from 7G rainbow colony kan paseum varthaigal purivathialai....

Today i gotup at 10am and then went on. I went to sleep at 2pm and i opened my eyes only at 6pm, had a nice rest.Then in evening at 7 i went to have NV at valar chicken named Chinese chili. I usually study(litely) at 11 pm onwards but today it went to 12 am. Today i saw many movies names once a theif, Death train, Sudden death, hollow man, Metro and manymore... I usually tell my friends that i start study at 11 pm only but my friends dont believe me....

But to say something my friends are my Strength and not atall weakness for me. why i tell this means my group Ramadurai(called mamu), Sathish(Mapu)and sree Ram and all call me as mamu and mapu too.. Wat a great realationship we have eachother, thats nice to share with them. I think i can make a new post abt my friends, thinking of it. its time until next blog its Rajesh signing off...

My hunting experience

Hey have u ever had a chance to hunt a hunter, everybody has a chance but many can't get success in it, did u get wat iam speaking abt, yes im speaking abt these Mrs.Mosquitoes (mosquito which r hurting us r females and males are garden chasers).

When i turned on net on sunday to check mail and to blog abt my weekends, the attack made on me. Now i will tell abt it. On my computer table i have Laser printer down my table and it will be clean only but near it, there is UPS nearby slippers and shoes r there. So whenever i opened my windows(not MS WINDOWS) or doors these hunters will get in to my home and start attacking on us.

On Sunday exactly at 6.15 when i opened my blog page to blog something, and also i was hearing my favourite song from 7G rainbow colony film Kan peasum varthaigal purivathilai... in my headphone and 2 mosquitoes keep on disturbing me. so i thought of scaring them away but in vain. I got severe bites on elbow and my legs, so i went to bring a mosquito Hunter bat designed to kill these insects.

Damned i lost abt 10 min chasing behind them and successfully cleared all the enemies and when i returned to blog, one more came and got it in 5 secs and i was happy to return to blog

When i was in combat with these mosquitoes, i thought of writing these itself in blog. Aha got one more, so im going and return with victory. Note: Dont think my home full of those types. Accidently doors were open till 6 pm, so only they came visiting in. BYE have good bite......oops Good Day

First equip u'rself with all the puzzles in the 2 books
of sakuntala devi,ie.puzz to puzz u & more puzz.By equip i mean go
thro the question twice if u can solve it then go on or juz turn to
the answer.Go thro the ans completely.there might be some basic
formula or idea in the ans with which u can solve other questions.
What i feel is no one can solve the books fully except sakuntala
devi herself.dont panic.juz finish it once.then take up george
summers .this is another such book wherein u cannot solve.take up the
first part of the book solve it.try first,if u dont get it look up the
answer.when u r thro,the first part take up sakuntala devi again.try
it again.see hw much u remember.now start with second part of
george summers.in the meantime take up the prev.ques. papers.
start with 2004 first.dont ever believe with the answers.given
in the papers.keep in touch with the sakuntala devi books always.
never miss it.
now regarding the paper,first u have to fill an appln. form from
whch u will be questioned in the interview so be careful.
then u will be given the puzz.paper.start with the easiest puzz.
write clear steps.using a vertical line split the rough sheet into
two and start solving.dont ever start with analytical reasoning.in
1 hr. u can solve 7 puzz or atmost 8.with 15 mts. to go write down
the 2 ques. whch u think u cannot solve in 1 hr.after 1 hr they will
take up the puzz ques. paper.bfore they give the eng.paper u can solve
these 2 puzz. once they give the eng.paper take juz 17mts.to do it.take

the results will be put up at 4.00pm for morning batch.

Google's index nearly doubles.

We probably never noticed the large number that appears in tiny type at the bottom of the Google home page. It's a measure of how many pages are indexed and gives an indication of how broadly it search to find the information we are looking for. Today that number nearly doubled to more than 8 billion pages.

Comprehensiveness is not the only important factor in evaluating a search engine, but it's invaluable for queries that only return a few results. For example, now when we search for info where previously generated only a handful of results, It seems double that number. These are not just copies of the same pages, but truly diverse results that give more information. The same is true for obscure topics, where you're now significantly more likely to find relevant and diverse information about the subjects. You may also notice that the result counts for broader queries (with thousands or millions of results) have gone up substantially. However, as with any search engine, these are estimates, and the real benefit lies with the queries that generate fewer results.

The documents in Google's index are in dozens of file types from HTML to PDF, including PowerPoint, Flash, PostScript and JavaScript. Together these pages represent a good chunk of the world's information, but hardly all of it. That's why we keep building more advanced systems for crawling the web and creating more sophisticated indices to sort what we find. So 8 billion pages is a milestone worth noting, but it's not the end of the road. The real test is how well it does in finding what you want from within those pages.
